ROCK HILL, SC — Plans to open an upscale restaurant featuring southern-cuisine in Downtown Rock Hill are moving forward. Plans have been drawn and submitted to the City of Rock Hill for Citizen Corner restaurant. The restaurant is proposed for the ground floor of The Citizens Building located at 157 East Main Street (corner of Caldwell Street).
The Vault, a basement bar is planned as well. Licensing requirements are being pursued related to the sale of alcohol.
Hall Dozier, owner of Moe’s Southwest Grill at Manchester Village, is the owner/operator of Citizens Corner. The Citizen Building is owned and managed by Barwick and Associates LLC of Charlotte, NC.
Insight Architects is providing architectural services on this project.
The restaurant was attracted to Downtown Rock Hill, among other reasons, by the DowntownNow retail/restaurant attraction program. DowntownNow offers incentives and market and real estate information to attract additional retail and restaurant businesses to downtown.
