First Annual St. Paddy’s On Main Announced

Rock Hill, SC— Williams & Fudge, Inc. proudly presents the first annual St. Paddy’s On Main Bagpipe Parade and Music Festival. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 17th in downtown Rock Hill. Music will begin at 3:30 at McHale’s On Main featuring traditional Irish music by the James Burbane Project. The Thistledown Tinkers will open on the Main Street stage from 5:30 – 7:30 PM followed by Heavy Sandwich playing Irish rock favorites. The music scene will move back inside at McHale’s at 10 PM with the Truckstop Preachers.

In addition to music, there will be a “Wee Ones Play Area” on the patio of Augello’s Coffee House at Main Street and Elk Avenue from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. There will also be a Bagpipe Parade at 5:30 PM. This fun pedestrian parade will begin at The Cotton Factory, located at 300 S. Chatham Avenue, and will cross over Dave Lyle Blvd onto Main Street. Participants are asked to “Go Green” and dress to win the costume contest which has a grand prize of $200. Participants are encouraged to carry banners or signs promoting their organization. The costume contest winners will be announced at 7:30 PM at the Main Street stage followed by a balloon drop. The balloons will contain special coupons to downtown eateries and shops and for free green beer. Food vendors will also be part of the festivities. You must be 21 and have a photograph id in order to purchase alcohol. Carolina Cab will be onsite. This event is sponsored by Williams & Fudge, Inc. McHale’s Irish Pub, City of Rock Hill, O’Darby’s Fine Wine and Spirits, Comer Distributors and the Main Streets of Old Town Association.
