Our Planning and Development Department will provide personal assistance to businesses locating, building or expanding inside city limits. They can provide additional information on business licenses, zoning, and building codes, as well as help you set up your initial utility accounts.

The Gravity Center is a hub for entrepreneurial collaboration and development in York County. The services of the center will focus on providing space, incubation, mentorship and program support for start-up businesses and entrepreneurs.

Collision Cowork
Located in Rock Hill’s historic city center, Collision Cowork features newly renovated, creative cowork space just steps away from restaurants, bars, concert venues, and apartments. The center offers flexible or dedicated work space, private offices and private phone booths. Meeting rooms include HD TVs and whiteboards. The kitchen area includes a refrigerator, sink, microwave, bar seating and free coffee. All renters receive access via Wi-Fi or ethernet to Zipstream gigabit internet service over a fiber optic network at no additional charge.

York County Launchpad is a free and open-to-the-public event that takes place at 8AM on the first Wednesday of every month at Knowledge Perk. At each meeting, two local companies take the safe and share what they do and the challenges they're facing and overcoming in growing their businesses. After each presentation, the crowd has a chance to both ask questions and offer helpful advice and insight. These events are the quickest and easiest way to get involved in the thriving entrepreneurial community in York County. It's a place where we all can learn and grow and make valuable connections on a regular basis.
