GRAVITY CENTER

The Gravity Center is a hub for entrepreneurial collaboration and development in York County. The services of the center will focus on providing space, incubation, mentorship and program support for start-up businesses and entrepreneurs.

ZIPSTREAM GIGABIT INTERNET

Technology made available by locally owned telecommunications company Comporium, Zipstream internet service provides download and upload speeds of 1,000 megabits per second (mbps) – or one Gigabit – over a fiber optic network. The vision is to make York County recognized for recruiting, launching, and growing high-impact technology businesses. Further, Comporium’s residential and business customers in fiber neighborhoods or business parks have access to the Zipstream gigabit service.

COLLISION COWORK

Located in the heart of Rock Hill's Historic Old Town, Collision Cowork is the city's first creative coworking space. Its downtown location provides easy access to restaurants, bars, parks, and brand new urban apartments. Collision offers flexible or dedicated work space, private offices, and private phone booths. Meeting rooms include HD TVs and whiteboards. The kitchen area includes a refrigerator, sink, microwave, bar seating and free coffee. All renters receive access via Wi-Fi or ethernet to Zipstream gigabit internet service over a fiber optic network at no additional charge.

YORK COUNTY LAUNCHPAD

York County Launchpad is a free and open-to-the-public event that takes place at 8 AM on the first Wednesday of every month at Knowledge Perk. At each meeting, two local companies take the safe and share what they do and the challenges they're facing and overcoming in growing their businesses. After each presentation, the crowd has a chance to both ask questions and offer helpful advice and insight. These events are the quickest and easiest way to get involved in the thriving entrepreneurial community in York County. It's a place where we all can learn and grow and make valuable connections on a regular basis.
